Peru: 3rd Binational Cabinet and Presidential Meeting has begun

Led by Presidents Pedro Pablo Kuczynski (Peru) and Juan Manuel Santos (Colombia), the 3rd Binational Cabinet and Presidential Meeting kicked off this morning in Peru's Southern city of Arequipa.

It addresses the achievement in bilateral relations, and new commitments are expected to be made.

The meeting is held at Libertador Hotel in the White City. 

Later, the official photo session will take place at Santa Catalina Monastery, one of the most popular spots in the Andean metropolis.

After that comes a lunch offered by President Kuczynski in honor of the Colombian leader and his delegation.

The meeting will focus on the following topics: governance and social affairs, environmental and mining-energy affairs; trade, economic growth and tourism; security and defense; as well as cross-border and migratory issues.

The binational cabinet sessions' main goal is to enhance harmonization of policies and development of inter-sectoral cooperation projects in areas of common interest, with a focus on productive development through social inclusion.
