The discussion session on the 2016 Public Sector Budget Bill kicked off at the Congress of the Republic on Wednesday afternoon.
The corresponding debate session will start on Thursday. It will see the participation of political parties represented at Parliament by addressing Public Sector Indebtedness and Financial Balance for the upcoming fiscal year.
The 2016 Budget proposal amounts to S/.138,490,511,244 (about US$41.34 billion), a 6.6% higher figure compared to the previously-approved one, currently in force.
The deadline for Congress approval expires on November 30th, 2015. Otherwise, the Executive Power-issued proposal will enter into force.
