National natural gas output totaled 1.06 billion cubic feet per day in September 2015, up by 16.3% compared to August, Peru's National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy (SNMPE) informed.

Growth was mainly due to higher production in lots 56 (159.6%, reaching an additional 183.2 million cubic feet per day) and 57 (8.6%, reaching an additional 3.2 million cubic feet daily).

However, a decreased production in lots 88 (-4.3%, down 29.9 million cubic feet a day), 31-C (-25.9%, down 7.1 million cubic feet per day), Z-2B (-19.4%, down 1.5 million cubic feet daily) and X (-4.1%, down 0.6 million cubic feet a day) slowed the production growth.

On the other hand, the national production of natural gas liquids reached 80,400 barrels per day, up by 9.3% compared to August.

The increased production of natural gas liquids in September was mainly driven by higher volumes in lots 56 (133.9%, 57 (8.7%) and Z-2B (9%). Nevertheless, a decrease was seen in the production of lots 88 (-9.2%) and 31-C (-6.8%).
