Loving Paddington Bear and his creator's daughter will travel Peru while boosting reading and English language learning among underprivileged children.

The bear —along with Andina news agency— toured around Lima's historical center's most important sites, where he caused quite a stir among children, who did not hesitate to surround him and showed love.

Paddington is a fiction character created by British writer Michael Bond, who got inspiration from a teddy bear he saw at a store located at Paddington Station (England) decades ago.

According to the creator's daughter, Peru was picked as the bear's nation, since it was a "remote, but magical country," as well as interesting and intense. The country was also chosen because it hosts Andean bears; a detail, which drew attention from her mother.

The story has become successful ever since.

Even, a movie was produced receiving good reviews. Thus, "a sequel is getting prepared," she noted.

Paddington will initially tour cities Arequipa, Puno and Cusco by reflecting family values expressed in his stories.
