The 15th Agro-industrial, Ecotourism and Crafts Livestock Fair will draw more than 15,000 people to Lambayeque, northern Peru from 28 October to 2 November.

According to Jose Villegas, chairman of Lambayeque Cattle Breeders Association, the show will be officially opened on October 29, and is intended to promote the cattle industry through the consumption of meat, milk and dairy products.

A colorful parade will take place prior to the festival, bringing together Lambayeque’s regional officials.

In addition, the winner of the Livestock Beauty Pageant 'Señorita Ganadera 2014' will be crowned at the event.

“The fair will also feature an exhibition and judging of bovine animals for raising and fattening, as well as Holstein Friesian cattle,” Villegas told Andina news agency.

While in there, fairgoers will be able to enjoy a Cuy (guinea pig) fashion show that will showcase clothing items specially tailored for these small animals.
