Over 100 buyers to attend Peru Service Summit

More than 100 buyers from 19 countries will attend next week's Peru Service Summit to hold meetings with Peruvian businessmen, from which U.S. $50 million transactions are expected.

In its 2013 edition, the five-day event seeks to place Peru as a business platform for the export of services, where international demand can find a competitive service offering and excellent platform for attracting investment.

The event is going to be held in the framework of the "Services and Technology Week", and has a wide range of services in technological solutions of specialized software and video games, mining services, BPO (legal, accounting, HR and Contact Center) cultural services, graphics, publishing, animation, education, health, dining franchises and architecture.

A total of 107 contractors from the United States, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, and Taiwan, among other countries, will attend the event to hold meetings with Peruvian businessmen of competitive and high quality services.

The expectation is to organize 1,350 international business meetings during Peru Service Summit.

The relevance of this business platform consolidates it as a showcase for small and medium companies to the internationalization in new sectors with export potential, seeking to globalize public and private services companies so its exports continue to grow.

Among international executives holding business conferences with 97 exporters of technology, professional, cultural and health services; and creative industries, other activities will be held such as trade shows, seminars, the Third International Services Forum and the Peru Export Services Award, which will be given to the sector's outstanding exporters.

Also there are going to be six technical workshops for sectors like BPO, Publishing, TICs Infrastructure, Logistics and Videogames Convention; and four workshops specialized to keep the employer informed of the latest global trends in order to guide its internationalization strategy.

Also, in the framework of the "Services and Technology Week", the TICs EXPO 2013 will take place, bringing together products and the latest technological services. It also allows to perform different activities and encourage trade and investment. This activity will run from June 20 to 23.

Last year, Peru Service Summit brought together more than 2,500 Peruvian and international executives, who generated over U.S. $26 million in exports and investments to the sector.

Peru Service Summit 2013 will be held from June 17 to 21 at Hotel Los Delfines and Jockey Club in Lima, Peru and is organized by the country's Export and Tourism Tourism Promotion Board, or Promperu.
