The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM), through the national program “Cocina, Peru” (Cook Peru) has delivered 533,600 kitchen kits to date.
The kits are composed by: Liquefied Petroleum Gas Kitchens.
Those intend to benefit poverty and extreme-poverty-stricken families across the country.
According to the Ministry, the objective is to improve the life quality of the most vulnerable families in the country, which use polluting fuels, such as wood-burning, coal to cook their meals.
This exposes people the polluting gases, which cause respiratory diseases.
Each kit contains two stove-burners and a 10-kg gas-cylinder, a regulator and a hose.
