MEF authorizes credit aimed at mitigating disaster effects

Peru's Ministry of Finance (MEF) authorized today the incorporation of resources, through an additional provision to the public sector’s budget worth S/.49 million (about US$15,806,451).

Those intend to lend continuity to public investment execution and activities related to prevention, mitigation and disaster preparedness.

According to Supreme Decree 066-2015-EF the authorization meets the approval of the General Directorate of Public Budget.

The money had not been considered in the Institutional Budget in effect during 2015 's fiscal year.

The corresponding resources are not to be set aside for other purposes.
