The Executive Branch has appointed Marco Vinicio Balarezo Lizarzaburu as the new Peruvian Ambassador to Panama, according to a supreme resolution published in El Peruano official daily.

Appointment takes place in accordance with the clause 12 of the article 118 of Peru’s Constitution, which established the power of the President of the Republic to appoint plenipotentiary ambassadors and ministers with the approval of the Cabinet and Congress.

Credentials and full powers have been issued to the Ambassador in accordance with the resolution No. 065-2015-RE.

A ministerial resolution will set the date on which the new Ambassador will officially take up her diplomatic duties.

The document was inked by Peruvian President Ollanta Humala and Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Maria Sanchez.
