The most prestigious hotels in northern Peru’s Ancash region, located mainly in Huaraz city and Huaylas Alley, are fully-booked for this Independence Day long weekend.
According to Peru’s Export and Tourism Promotion Board (Promperu), a survey conducted among Ancash’ most important hotels revealed that a total of 1,505 beds have been reserved for these days.
In addition, three-star hotels like El Patio de Monterrey, Pastoruri, Los Portales, Real Hotel Huascarán, Andino Club Hotel, Real Baños de Monterrey, San Sebastián, América Huaraz, Colomba, La Joya, Sierra Nevada and Centrocoop are completely booked.
Promperu reports a similar situation in two-star hotels Valencia, Grand Hotel Alturas, Copa, Huallcor, Las Tejas, Tumi and Tumi II.
It should be noted that room rates per night range from 400 soles (at three-star hotels) to 40 soles (at non-categoprized hotels).
