El Ministro de la Producción, Piero Ghezzi, inaugura el primer Centro Acuícola de Tilapia, promovida por el Fondo Nacional de Desarrollo Pesquero (FONDEPES), en convenio con la Universidad Nacional de Piura.
Peru’s Ministry of Production (Produce) has officially confirmed that Lima will host the Second International Meeting on Assessment of Fisheries and Aquaculture Monitoring, Control and Surveillance Experiences from September 16 to 18.
According to the ministerial resolution, published on El Peruano official daily, the meeting will be organized by the Directorate General of Surveillance and Control of the Deputy Ministry of Fisheries.
The event is aimed at sharing good practices in monitoring, control and surveillance of fishing and aquaculture activities that have been implemented, proved and duly sustained.
In this sense, speakers and attendees will explore experiences developed in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama and Paraguay.
It will also forge a regional network to connect fisheries control bodies and strengthen joint working mechanisms in border regions.
