Pope Francis on Sunday concluded a four-day visit to Peru with a multitudinous mass before a large crowd of pilgrims.

The last day of his trip included a series of activities in the Peruvian capital, Lima.

He left the Apostolic Nunciature at 8:47 AM towards Las Nazarenas Church in downtown Lima for a meeting with cloistered nuns.

Then, he headed to Lima's Main Square to visit the city's Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace.

Later, the Holy Father led an Angelus prayer at Lima's Main Square, followed by a lunch at the Apostolic Nunciature in Jesus Maria district.

Finally, he celebrated a major mass at Lima-based Las Palmas Air Base before more than one million believers.

The service was the last activity in the Holy Father's four-day itinerary in the Inca nation, which also included visits to cities Puerto Maldonado and Trujillo.
