A Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation has arrived in Peru and were welcomed today in a private audience with Congress President Ana Maria Solorzano as part of a joint measure to enhance legislative work and invigorate investments.

The ceremony was held at the Congress Presidency facilities this morning.

Several authorities were brought together, including lawmakers Yousef Al-Zalzalah, Saif Al-Azmi, Abdullah Al-Mayouf and Abdullah Al-Traiji, who were accompanied by Kuwaiti Ambassador Reem Mohammed Al-Khaled and Peruvian Ambassador Carlos Pareja Rios, Director General for Africa, Middle East and Gulf States.

Also attending were members of the Congress Vice Presidency, Modesto Julca Jara, Norman Lewis del Alcazar, Esther Capuñay Quispe, and Rogelio Canches Guzman, President of Peru-Kuwait Parliamentary League.

Peru and Kuwait seek to reinforce their legislative work and, thus, bolster investments, trade, tourism and other major aspects of the bilateral relationship.

It should be noted Parliaments of both countries will sign a Bilateral Cooperation Agreement to bolster institutional relations.

The accord will enhance cooperation on technical and computer aspects, and will attempt a comparative study of laws.

Peruvian congress members were invited to visit the Arabic country. Date to be confirmed.
