Virtual President-Elect of Peru Pedro Pablo Kuczynski said he will improve transfer of resources for public works across Peruvian regions, and that health and education services will see substantial progress under his administration.

Remarks were made early today in a press conference in Cusco, where he promised to guarantee an improved property tax collection in local governments.

“We are going to improve property tax collection, transfer [of resources] for public works and provide substantial improvement in education and health,” he stated.

PPK explained his government will implement Adelanto Social (Early Social Works), a mechanism that will implement different social works before carrying out extraction or energy projects.

“We will invest in schools, water, safety and hospitals before initiating big projects in the sites,” he affirmed.

Later, he said Peru will show it is a peaceful and civilized country in financial terms.

Kuczynski took part in the opening of the Second National Congress of Peruvian Municipalities in Cusco.

Moreover, he is expected to attend the First Decentralization Summit that will gather regional and local authorities from all over the country.
