Kuczynski invites Japan PM to further boost investments in Peru

Peruvian Leader Pedro Pablo Kuczynski invited Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to further enhance investments in Peru and support Peruvian Government’s attempt to join the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

“We are democratic and respectful of human rights, which is why we are in tune with Japan and willing to access the OECD. I have asked [Japan] Prime Minister’s support on that,” he said in a press conference along with Shinzo Abe.

Hosting President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and Japanese PM Shinzo Abe took part in the signing of bilateral agreements held at the Government Palace’s Golden Hall in Lima.

The Head of State noted the agreements signed between the two countries to enhance cooperation in information and communication technology fields.

“We seek investment in Peru. Invest here, there is nothing like investment. It creates works, employment and prosperity,” he pointed out.

The Peruvian Leader affirmed it is an honor to have Shinzo Abe in Peru in an official visit and as participant of the 24th APEC Summit.

He went on to add Japan is a unique country that has moved forward in technology in a short period of time and remains a role model when it comes to modernity and democracy.
