The announcement was made at a ceremony attended by Vice President, Shin Soong-Chull; Korean Ambassador to Peru, Park Hee-kwon and the director of ProInversion, Milton von Hesse.

"Peru is a country that grows steadily and is increasingly opening up to foreign markets. While Peru and Korea have been working together in construction works in the last years, like steam power plants carried out by Posco, there is still much to do," Soong-Chull said.

ICAK, which has 740 member companies in the construction industry, like Samsung, SK, Posco and GS, has established overseas branches in India, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Mexico, and now in Peru.
