Jordan's King Abdullah II on Thursday sent a letter of congratulations to Peruvian President Ollanta Humala on the anniversary of the Independence Day of his country.
According to website Ammonnews, King Abdullah sent similar letters to the leaders of Liberia and Maldives, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf and Mohammad Waheed Hassan, respectively.
The monarch conveyed his best wishes to the three leaders and continued progress and prosperity for their countries and peoples.
Peru celebrates Independence Day on July 28, commemorating the anniversary of Peru's independence from Spanish rule in 1821.
