The Japanese and Paraguayan governments on Tuesday delivered humanitarian assistance for natural disaster victims in Peru.
As is known, the Andean country is currently at the mercy of torrential downpours and floods that have left many citizens homeless.
Sent through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Asian nation's contribution included 90 tents, 500 blankets, 480 mattresses, 40 water purifiers and 50 power generators.
Said aid delivery was supervised by Japanese Ambassador to Peru Tatsuya Kabutan.
"For Japan, it is highly important that victims rely on water and electricity, thus we are donating 40 water purifiers and 50 power generators," Mr. Kabutan affirmed.
Likewise, the Japanese official underlined the Empire of the Rising Sun is grateful for the Peruvian support provided in 2011, when a quake hit the Asian country.
"We respond to said aid and generosity with the same reciprocity," he said.
As for Paraguay, relief aid is comprised of non-perishable food supplies and personal hygiene items.
Paraguayan President Horacio Cartes on Sunday affirmed the donation was a gesture of solidarity, friendship and support to Peruvian counterpart Pedro Pablo Kuczynski.

The Andean nation previously received generous contributions from Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, China, the United States, Bolivia, Canada, Panama and Pope Francis.
