Two goals and an assist from Jefferson Farfan helped Schalke 04 to a 3-2 friendly win over fellow Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

The match, played at Al-Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi, served as preparation for the restart of the Bundesliga season later this month.

Farfan, who has scored six goals and provided four assists this season, is fully recovered from an adductor injury that sidelined him for six weeks.

"I’m still not satisfied; I want to score more goals to help the team," the Peruvian winger told the club's official website on Thursday.

“This is our third training camp in Qatar and I’m still amazed at the facilities. We have everything we need,” the 29-year-old said.

Farfan said the Royal Blues must now make the most of these opportunities to prepare themselves for the second half of the season.

“We made too many individual errors in all areas in the first half of the season, and we must fix that,” he stressed.

The Peru international is particularly looking forward to the two upcoming Champions League last 16 matches against Spanish giants Real Madrid.

“I have great respect for Real Madrid. For years they’ve been one of the best teams in the world,” the winger explained, “but anything can happen in football. We’ll give it our best!” pledged Farfan.
