Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his entourage left Peru's capital Lima for Jakarta, Indonesia at 7:00 hours (12:00 GMT) on Monday.
The president left for home aboard an Airbus 330-341 presidential plane from Peruvian Air Force base, Air Group Nº 8, after a four-day visit in the Andean country to attend the 16th Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting.
At the airport, the president and party were seen off by Indonesian ambassador to Peru I Gde Djelantik. On his way to Indonesia, the president will make stop overs in Seattle, the United States, and Nagoya, Japan.
He is scheduled to arrive at Halim Perdana Kusuma airport in Jakarta at 5 am on Wednesday.
Yudhoyono left Indonesia on November 13 for Washington DC to attend a G-20 meeting and later made working visits to Mexico, Brazil and Peru.
His visits to Mexico and Brazil were of bilateral nature while he came to Peru to attend the 16th APEC Summit.
During the APEC meeting, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said that poverty was a security issue and tackling poverty also meant preventing political instability and safeguarding the common future.
"A poor community is an angry community. Three billion people worldwide living on two dollars a day are three billion resentful people. Seven hundred million people suffering from chronic malnutrition are seven hundred million disenchanted citizens," President Yudhoyono said at the APEC CEO Summit 2008 over the weekend.
