Google's homepage doodle paid homage on Sunday to the Incan citadel of Machu Picchu for the centennial of its scientific discovery.
The letters of the Google logo were similar to the Incan stones located in the sanctuary.
The main day of this celebration, on July 7, featured a sound and light show which delighted all the attendances.
The American explorer Hiram Bingham made known the existence of the archaeological complex to the whole world on July 24, 1911.
Since 1911 to the present day, Machu Picchu continues to dazzle everyone and is still in the spotlight as it was named as one of the seven wonders of the world.
