The number of franchises operating in Peru totals 362. 150 are Peruvian, while the remaining 212 are foreign, declared Luis Kiser, President of Front Consulting.

He indicated the growing demand of new products and services, with different added values, enables companies to establish businesses quickly in the country.

This leads the franchise system to be an increasingly real option, which enables local market to grow an average of 25% annually.

"This evolution is not only quantitative. We are seeing more and more companies, which receive professional training, before offering their business model to future franchise holders," he stressed.

He also added this growth is due to the gastronomic boom and to the increasingly participation of beauty, health, education and entertainment sectors in the formats of: hair salons, handicraft stores, jewelry, educational institutes, language institutes, clothing stores and general services.

"The investors go for this model because, unlike traditional companies, 90% of the businesses survive over five years," he added.
