The Ministry of Finance has authorized Housing, Construction and Sanitation Ministry budget allocations transfer worth about US$13.71 million to finance urban and rural sanitation works in support of local governments.
According to a Supreme Decree, published in official newspaper El Peruano, the funds will be used to develop public investment projects in rural and urban areas.
15 of them will be carried out in rural spheres and one in the urban area.
The amount shall be exclusively spent on the designated purposes, the document indicates.
Similarly, the Housing, Construction and Sanitation Ministry must be informed of the advancements concerning the projects. In this sense, implementation schedules and the provisions included in the already-inked contracts and addenda will be presented. The measure intends to verify and monitor the corresponding development processes.
The Supreme Decree has been inked by President Ollanta Humala and Ministers of Finance, Alonso Segura, and Housing, Construction and Sanitation, Milton von Hesse.
