Peru will be one of the few Latin American countries to register a “higher economic-growth rate” than the one reached in 2014, Peru’s Finance Minister Alonso Segura affirmed.
This will enable to reduce poverty “faster," he estimated.
“Peru would become one of the few economies to register a higher growth rate than the one reached the year before. Obviously, speeding up economic growth helps to create greater dynamics for poverty reduction,” Segura told.
In this sense, he said implementing social programs and providing basic services to Peruvians in most need were the main channels to reduce poverty last year.
