Two Expo Peru trade fairs are expected to be held in China and the United States this year to showcase the country's image abroad, Peru's export and Tourism Promotion board reported.
Luis Torres, Director of Export promotion at PromPeru noted that the first fair will be carried  out in Beijing in the second half of July and it will include the participation of buyers from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, among other countries.

"The second fair will be held in Los Angeles, United States in the second half of November," he said.

Furthermore, Torres said that Peru will host the 3rd Andean Business Meeting, organized by the Andean community (CAN). The event aims to strengthen interregional trade and support the internationalization of CAN countries’ small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

He added that the Andean country will participate in the annual international fair Expocomer to be held from March 26th to 29th, 2014, at the Atlapa Convention Center fairgrounds in Panama City. The event will be attended by fifteen Peruvian micro and small-sized enterprises (MSEs).

Expo Peru is a new strategy promoted by Peru’s Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry (Mincetur) and PromPeru to boost business and tourism of Peru in international markets.
