EU countries to attend Perumin Mining Convention

On the occasion of Perumin 33rd Mining Convention, seven European Union (EU) countries will present their plans to ensure sustainable raw material supply for the decades to come.

This year's edition will be held on September 18-22 at the National University of Saint Augustine (UNSA) in Southern city of Arequipa. It will bring together representatives and professionals from 11 nations.

At the convention, professionals will be able to share their knowledge on technological advances and experiences, thus contributing to competitiveness and sustainable development of Peru's mining activities.

In this sense, the European Union will present its "Mineral Development Network Platform (MDNP)," describing the mining relationship linking the EU and Latin America.

The meeting will also see the presence of exploration specialists from both blocs, companies (including small- and medium-sized enterprises), universities, geology researchers and other entities related to the mining sector.

About

The Perumin 33rd Mining Convention is expected to convene 68,000 participants. Thus, it has consolidated itself as the most-attended event of its kind thanks to the number of international delegations, government authorities and range of offer.

Since its creation in 1954, the biennial mining event has worked on the promotion of mining operation technological research, innovation and application.
