Following great success last year, Dubai will host the second annual Taste of Peru Festival which will take place from February 26 until March 1 at the Souk Amphitheatre in Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai.
Organized by Peru's Trade, Tourism and Investment Office in Dubai, Taste of Peru will showcase the gastronomic marvels of the Andean country including ceviche, tiradito, causa, quinotto, beef anticucho, and empanadas, along with the national grape cocktail pisco sour.
Peruvian cuisine is traditionally a melting pot of different cultures, flavors and techniques which stems from the arrival of European and Asian immigrants to Peru centuries ago.
According to an article on hoteliermiddleeast.com, the event will also host a fashion show on February 27 called Taste of Peru Fashion, which will feature a runway show for two Peruvian fashion designers who will showcase their collections at the event.
Taste of Peru has also been added to Dubai Food Carnival’s roster of events. “As far as we know we are the only country invited by Dubai Tourism and Cultural Authority to have an event like this as part of the festival,” said Peru's Trade, Tourism and Investment Office (Promperu) director Alvaro Silva-Santisteban.
