Peru's private-run Foreign Trade Society (ComexPeru) opened the 9th Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) SME Summit 2016 in Lima.
The event aims to promote formalization among micro, small and medium-sized enterprises required to foster their internationalization in the major Asia-Pacific market.
Attending authorities included ComexPeru President Jose Luis Noriega and General Manager Jessica Luna, as well as APEC Business Advisory Council Chairman Juan Francisco Raffo.
Under the “Quality Growth and Human Development” motto, APEC's 21 member economies' Heads of State will gather at the Leaders' Summit taking place in Lima on November 19-20.
Peru's capital will host the event after 8 years.
