China constitutes one of Peru and Latin America's top trade partners given its high purchasing potential along with dynamism experienced in bilateral trade, Peru's Foreign Affairs Ministry affirmed.

"Only in 2014, bilateral trade stood at US$16.00 billion and thus quadrupled the value of trade registered over the previous year," Ambassador Juan Carlos Gamarra expressed.

According to Peru's Energy and Mines Ministry (MEM), mining investments reached US$19.189 billion as at December, 2015.

"Thus, China strengthened its position as top mining investor in Peru," he stressed.

Peru's Foreign Affairs Ministry, EY consulting firm and Peru-China Chamber of Commerce (Capechi) jointly presented "Peru-China Business and Investment Guide" on Tuesday.

The report seeks to create new opportunities aimed at attracting greater flows of Chinese capitals.
