Peru Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversión) announced 17,000 hectares of agriculture land of the Special Project Chavimochic (La Libertad) will be auctioned during the second quarter of 2015.
It was indicated that the basis price will amount US$5,000 per hectare.
The bidding method procedure requires bidders to engage in subscribing a (water provision) contract with the concessionaire in case of being granted the land.
It should be noted at the beginning of January, the licensee Chavimochic SAC initiated the first Palo Redondo dam construction works.
It is located 30 km away from the water intake access, on kilometer 490 of the Panamericana Norte highway.
The civil works and the foundations of the 366 million cubic meter capacity dam, will start in April. It should be delivered after a 4-year term.
Palo Redondo dam, a project worth US$347 million, includes building an access alternative to Tanguche community.
