British company Altra Capital Limited, in partnership with El Dorado Investments, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Peru's Development Finance Corporation (Cofide) to hold a training program on Public Private Partnership (PPP) aimed at Peruvian public servants.

After the training, government officials will attend tutorials, on which the learned knowledge will be put into practice.

The training will cover planning, financing, supply and functioning principles of PPP infrastructures and programs, as well as tools to implement the best international practices in a bid to achieve satisfactory results.

Starting in the third quarter, the program will see 50 senior officials from the central and regional governments work with international infrastructure experts to address key aspects of long-term investment.

Experience

"Altra Capital's expertise in different areas such as strategy, financing and management has shown the country's capacity and energy first-hand," said the company CEO John Davie.

"Added to this might be UK's experience and creativity in helping Peru achieve its goals to provide better public services and improve economic growth," he continued.

Both Altra Capital and El Dorado Investments signed a MoU with Cofide, represented by its General Manager Alex Zimmermann, at the British Embassy in Lima, in the presence of Anwar Choudhury, British Ambassador to Peru.
