Ambassadors of Brazil and the Kingdom of Morocco Carlos Lazary Teixeira and Oumama Aouad, respectively, paid an official visit to the brand-new Congress President of Peru Luis Iberico to congratulate him on his assumption of such an important post.
During the meetings held separately on Wednesday, participants agreed on the need to promote mechanisms to strengthen relations between Peru and the other two nations.
“We have reaffirmed our willingness to maintain and increase dialogue, cooperation and exchange between the two nations’ legislative powers,” Brazilian Ambassador said.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Oumama Aouad conveyed to Iberico greetings from his Moroccan counterpart and an invitation to visit the African country along with a delegation of Peruvian legislators; date has still to be decided.
“This meeting has been very fruitful. We have also discussed perspectives of the links between the two countries,” said the African diplomat while underlining the work carried out by the Peru-Morocco Parliamentary Friendship Group presided over by Congressman Rolando Reategui, who was in the meeting, too.
In the end, Mr. Iberico received protocol greetings from Mehdi Mammadov, Chargé d'Affaires of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Peru.
