BCR: Confidence in Peruvian provinces improved in second quarter of 2015

Indicators, which measure business confidence in Peruvian regions, recorded optimistic results in the second quarter of the current year, according to Quarterly Regional Perception survey conducted by Peru’s Central Reserve Bank (BCR).

Of the ten indicators monitored by BCR, nine of them showed better perspectives compared to results reached in the first quarter of the current year.

Within the optimism range, the business confidence climbed from 66 to 72 points. The finance and business sectors also displayed positive signs.

Loan expectations

According to Quarterly survey, the 'access to loan' indicators climbed to 69 points, denoting good conditions for financing.

Meanwhile, the enterprise financial position reached 62 points.

Period of survey

The survey was conducted on a representative sample of Peruvian enterprises from June 15 to July 15. 

Northern zone comprised the regions: Piura, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Tumbes and Cajamarca; the Southern area included Tacna, Moquegua, Arequipa, Cusco, Apurimac and Puno.

Eastern area comprised: Amazonas, Ucayali, San Martin, Loreto and Madre de Dios. The center of Peru included Huanuco, Junin, Pasco, Ancash, Ica, Ayacucho and Huancavelica.
