The agreement was signed by directors and representatives from Argentina, Mexico, Bolivia, Paraguay, Venezuela, Guatemala, Cuba, Brazil and Ecuador, during a two-day meeting in La Paz, Bolivia.

At the second ULAN's meeting, the attendees also discussed Latin American media's role and the freedom of expression in the region.

ULAN’s President Juan Manuel Founrouge noted that Andina’s incorporation strengthens the democratization of information in Latin America.
