The official visit of China's Premier, Li Keqiang, to Lima is important for Peru because it shows how relevant the country is from China’s international strategic perspective.

"This visit provides a comprehensive development outlook. We are not only talking about a product that will be exported, since great investments in mining, water and obviously in agriculture are comprised," he expressed.

It should be noted Li has met Peru's President Ollanta Humala today in Lima. At the Government Palace both leaders inked agreements regarding the participation in the Interoceanic Railway (CFBC), which will connect the ports located in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

"This places Peru and Brazil as two of the most important countries, where China's large-scale invests are based," Benites told after a meeting held with China's Zhi Shuping, Minister of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ).
