Peru: Acuña suggests productivity rise to witness steady growth

The leader of Alianza para el Progreso Party, Cesar Acuña, pledged to implement a vigorous program to increase productivity throughout every region across the country in order to achieve a sustained economic growth.

To do this, Acuña has decided to implement Incuba Peru, a program intended to forge the origin of high productivity-focused companies; as well as a popular franchise program aimed at creating employment-conducive networks.

He is committed to boosting growth of clusters, business management training and formalization, and technological, industrial parks.

Speaking from the Annual Executives Conference (CADE 2015), held in Paracas, Acuña said he is not going to make colorful or irresponsible promises, and assured his government would focus on human development.

Some of his strategic objectives, if elected President, are to achieve sustainable, inclusive growth and strengthen governance through deep state reforms, placing the public sector at the service of citizens.

Quality education will be on top of his agenda as well, as he plans to allocate 6% of GDP to such sector. 

Acuña also promised to provide basic services, ensure public safety and social peace, and facilitate rapid access to justice.
