“Brazil is a very interesting alternative for Gamarra MSE, because it is a market with more than 200 million consumers,” the president of the Coordinating Committee of Gamarra Entrepreneurs, Diogenes Alva, said in an interview.
He noted that, among actions being taken to boost negotiations with Brazilian entrepreneurs are work visits to neighbouring country.
According to the Brazilian government, its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rose 7.5 percent last year, totaling US$2.2 billion. Also, Brazil is expected to become the world’s seventh largest economy this year. In addition, Alva indicated that 20 percent of the garment and textile production of Gamarra are exported, mainly to Latin American markets.
