Lima, Oct. 14 (ANDINA).- Peru salvaged some much-needed spirit courtesy of a 1-0 win over Bolivia in the final matchday of the South American World Cup qualifiers, but still finish bottom of the table.
Furthermore, the man who scored the goal - Johan Fano - was sent off just a minute after netting, ensuring that both sides finished up with ten men.
Nonetheless, the crowd in Lima left delighted with the win, as well as honoured to see the international swansong of veteran skipper Nolberto Solano.
