Promperu’s tourism promotion director Rocio Merino said they will do so through the tourism information and assistance service (Iperu) offices and its representatives in the international markets and via the Internet.
In a press release, Merino stated that the master plan of the archaeological complex of Machu Picchu, prepared by the Environment and Culture Ministries, established in 2005 that the maximum number of visitors must not exceed 2500 persons per day.
Moreover, she said that the Culture Ministry has implemented an online ticket system which allows tourists to buy tickets in advance.
With this innovative system all visitors won't exceed the maximum number of visits restricted to ensure the preservation of Machu Picchu.
