Lima, oct. 16 (ANDINA).- The Peruvian journalist Magaly Medina was sentenced to five months in prison for the defamation and calumny lawsuit filed by the Peruvian football player Paolo Guerrero, who plays for the German soccer team, Hamburg.
The polemic TV show journalist arrived to the 27º Criminal Court to hear the judgment in the first instance, which result was unfavorable. Thought this judgment can be appealable.
Her producer and ex-couple, Ney Guerrero, who was sentenced to three months in prision was also present at the 27º Criminal Court.
In turn, the Peruvian player Paolo Guerrero asked an indemnification for one million dollars.
Magaly Medina was reported by Hamburg’s player after the magazine Magaly TV, the journalist's property, unvealed that the player escaped from concentration, when he had to play an important match to play against Brazil’s soccer team.
