This new bilateral chamber of commerce has the mission to foster business development of Peruvian Americans residing in the United States, as well as help them to benefit from trade activities between the two countries, reported the USPCC.
"Our main purpose is to promote business opportunities between Americans and Peruvians to enable them to interact and mutually benefit", said USPCC chairman, Juan Carlos Reynoso.
He pointed out that the USPCC will promote the benefits and opportunities of the new trade agreement to provide technical information and updated procedures and rules.
Besides, it will also give advise and be a permanent institution to promote products, goods and services that Peru produces and viceversa.
He stated that US-Peru FTA is a treaty of equal rights and opportunities for the people of both countries, so that they can live in a more simple and dynamic way.
"That is why in these changing times we decided to be part of the solution and collaborate effectively in the development of our American and Peruvian entrepreneurs", he said.
Reynoso said that Primer minister Jorge Del Castillo sent them a congratulation letter acknowledging this new chamber of commerce as a strategic ally of the Peruvian government in the formation of Peruvian entrepreneurs in the United States.
Finally, he stated that the USPCC has signed a cooperation agreement with the Peruvian consulting firm Korimayo, which will provide financial advice to Peruvians living in the United States wishing to develop investment projects in Peru.
