So far this year, the sol has appreciated 1.04% against the greenback.

In the last 12-month period the sol has gained 3.23% against the U.S. dollar.

The Central Reserve Bank (BCR) of Peru auctioned a PEN2.2 billion overnight time deposit at an average interest rate of 3.83 percent.

The bank also auctioned a six-month PEN100 million certificate of deposit at an average rate of 4.17 percent.
