So far this year, the sol has appreciated 1.67% against the greenback.
In the last 12-month period, the sol has gained 3.77% against the U.S. dollar.
The Central Reserve Bank (BCR) of Peru auctioned a PEN1.2 billion overnight time deposit at an average interest rate of 3.78 percent.
The bank also auctioned a six-month PEN100 million certificate of deposit at an average rate of 4.16 percent.
According to the BCR, the average interbank interest rate in domestic currency was 4,20 percent.
