So far this year, the sol has appreciated 1.89% against the greenback.
In the last 12-month period the sol has gained 3.64% against the U.S. dollar.
The Central Reserve Bank (BCR) of Peru auctioned 5 billion soles in overnight repos at an average rate of 4.34% to boost liquidity.
The bank also announced a 4.28% one-week repurchase agreement auction of PEN500 million.
No purchases or sales of foreign exchange were reported by the central bank.
