This commemoration, which was established in 2002 under law 207666, states that some government authorities must explain the policy guidelines to protect children.
Under this celebration, several institutions like Peru’s Ministry for Women and Vulnerable Populations (MiMP) will carry out a series of activities, such as carnivals and festivals since Wednesday 11.
In Peru, there are 28,935 children from 0 to 11 years old, who represent 23.3 percent of total population, according to National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI).
