U.S. President Barack Obama will arrive in Lima on Friday to participate in the 2016 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Summit, taking place on November 19-20.

According to the official agenda, Obama’s arrival is scheduled for 22:00 (local time).

The arrival of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is also expected for the same day.

Likewise, APEC 21 economies’ Leaders —including Vladimir Putin (the Russian Federation) and Xi Jinping (China)— will touch Peruvian soil on the occasion.

Mr. Xi will remain in Lima after the international mega-event concludes to pay a State visit to counterpart Pedro Pablo Kuczynski.

In addition, the Inca country will welcome Leaders Malcolm Turnbull (Australia); Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Brunei Darussalam); Justin Trudeau (Canada); James Chu-yul Soong (Chinese Taipei); Hwang Kyo-ahn (Korea); Rodrigo Duterte (the Philippines) and Leung Chun-ying (Hong Kong, China).

Additionally, Leaders Mohd Najib Tun Razak (Malaysia); John Key (New Zealand); Peter O’Neill (Papua New Guinea); Lee Hsien Loong (Singapore), Prajin Juntong (Thailand) and Tran Dai Quang (Viet Nam) will also join this major event.
