The renowned digital magazine Condé Nast Traveler included two Peruvian guesthouses among the Best Hotels in the World, part of its Readers' Choice Awards 2017.

In this sense, Inkaterra La Casona and Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel —both located in southern Cusco region— hold the 14th and 15th positions, respectively, in The Best Hotels in the World category.

"Condé Nast Traveler readers honor us," said Inkaterra Founder and CEO Jose Koechlin.

"The fact that our five hotels are among the winners of such a famous contest is a celebration of ecotourism as a means of sustainable development, a concept we started 42 years ago when we inaugurated our first hostel in the Peruvian Amazon," he added.

It must be noted more than 300,000 voters took part in the Readers' Choice Awards survey, submitting millions of ratings and more than 100,000 comments with the purpose of sharing their recent travel experiences in cities, islands, hotels, resorts, cruises, airlines and airports.
