Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) is providing information and assistance to domestic, foreign tourists planning to visit Peru’s inner regions.

The ministry, through IPeru, has been replying to inquiries regarding tourist attractions, routes and destinations. To that end, vacationers are invited to call a helpline at (01) 574-8000, which is open 24 hours a day. They can also send an email to: iperu@promperu.gob.pe.

IPeru offers 39 customer service points across 17 regions in Peru: Amazonas, Ancash, Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cajamarca, Callao, Cusco, Ica, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Lima, Loreto, Madre de Dios, Piura, Puno, Tacna and Tumbes.

On the other hand, the Tourist Protection Network remains attentive to guarantee the wellbeing of visitors, for which Tourism Police has provided a telephone number (0800-22221).

Calling on companies

It should be noted the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism has called on different associations, firms and tourism industry actors to support our brothers and sisters suffering the impact of natural disasters.

As is known, rains have ravaged the country, leading to a number of mudslides and river overflowing.

In this sense, Mincetur encouraged everyone to join collective efforts to help those in need.

People willing to help can donate water, canned tuna, rice, sugar, oil, legumes, pasta, oats, personal care items, diapers, tin roof sheets and plywood.

Goods will be received at Mincetur headquarters at Calle Uno Oeste N° 050, Córpac, San Isidro. Call (01) 513-6100 ext. 1075 or 997684694 (cell phone) for further coordination. You can also send an email to mcaballero@mincetur.gob.pe.

Mincetur will bring the donations to official collection points.
