South Korea President arrived in Peru

The President of the Republic of South Korea, Park Geun-hye, arrived in Lima on Saturday night in order to pay an official visit to the Republic of Peru and participate in a series of meetings starting Monday.
The Head of State arrived at Grupo Aereo 08 Air Force Base, where she was welcomed by Foreign Affairs Minister, Ana Maria Sanchez.

Afterwards, the illustrious guest –accompanied by the South Korean Ambassador- was taken to a hotel, where she will be staying during the next days.

On Monday, the President will place a wreath before the Monuments of the “Forefathers of Independence,” which is located in Lima.

During the afternoon Park Geun-hye is expected to head to the Parliament’s headquarters and meet with the President of Congress, Ana Maria Solorzano.

In 2011, Peru and South Korea signed a Free Trade Agreement. A year later, both nations inked a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement.
