National Chamber of Tourism (Canatur) President Fredy Gamarra estimates around 3,000 Peruvians will travel to Moscow to support their national soccer team at Russia 2018 World Cup.

"A significant number of Peruvian nationals in other parts of the globe will be attending the World Cup as well," he expressed.

Gamarra explained travel agencies will create tour packages tailored to Peruvians' specifications so that they can attend the most-watched international soccer event in June next year.

"We will find it out as soon as we know which stadiums the Peruvian team will be playing in," he noted, referring to the final draw for the groups and match venues of the 2018 World Cup.

According to Canatur's head, there are a lot of Peruvians who have not seen their team participate in this major event, unlike Spain '82. This raises great expectations and motivates them to travel to cheer the players on.

Tour Packages

It must be noted travel agencies in Peru have started to offer packages to the World Cup in Russia.

Prices range from US$ 6,381 to US$ 13,581, depending on the number of days, flight tickets, among other things. However, they do not include tickets for the matches.
